[2024] Meadows Semis - Peninsula SU vs OCSA IL

Oct 28, 20241.0k

Background: 2 of the 3 judges came from an IPDA background with one explicitly saying no speed. We may have over adapted a little bit, but this round was very slow and traditional. The recording cuts out at the end of the 2NR, unfortunately. Any laughing done in this video was by people not affiliated with either me nor Iva and we do not endorse that disrespect. Thank you to the judges for taking the time to judge this debate at the last minute swap, we appreciate you even if we went too far on the adaptation side. The decision was a 2-1 for me (Affirmative) from Dillon Brouwer and Isaiah Salagado, while Selah Huggins voted Negative on Extinction Outweighs. 1AC — First Affirmative Constructive

Affirmative

Judges

What else could the 1AC have done? Claude drafts 3 alternative responses and predicts how a flow judge would vote after each, next to the speech as it was given.

  • Flow judge: A technical, experienced circuit judge who votes on the flow: dropped arguments are true, extensions need warrants, and weighing decides close rounds.

Simulated responses and ballots are Claude's predictions from a rough transcript, not real results. Each run is a new AI request.
